Build your Pipeline
A ranked list of who to approach, in what order and why, built from the supporters you already have, and a repeatable way to keep it filled.
You know you should be finding new donors. Nobody has said where to start.
You keep asking the same handful of people and they are getting bored. You are relying on one or two donors, and your trustees expect you to open an address book you do not have.
The names you need are probably already in your database. Build your Pipeline turns them into a ranked list of who to approach, in what order and why, and shows your team how to keep adding to it without buying a list or paying for research.
When people book this
You are asking the same handful of people again and again, and they are getting bored.
One or two donors carry the income and nobody wants to say out loud what happens if they stop.
Your trustees expect you to open an address book you do not have.
There are thousands of records on the database and nobody can say which twenty matter.

Weeks 1 and 2
1. Behind the scenes
We review the information you gather for us, along with our own research, so that we have a good understanding of the charity and its current situation.
-
Weeks 3 to 6
2. Your donors, ranked
We check your data for gaps and recommend fixes. We introduce capacity, inclination and propensity; you score your donors; we review the scores with you and say if a wealth screen is the right next step.
-
Weeks 7 to 9
3. Network mapping
A session with a key stakeholder, on site, to surface the warm connections around your organisation, or training so you can run one yourselves.
-
Weeks 10 to 12
4. Your pipeline
A written report from the session, a repeatable process and templates for adding and qualifying prospects in future, and a short pipeline plan: who to approach first and the next step for each.
-
The three months after
5. Afterwards
Three calls over the three months after the plan, so the first approaches happen.
What Build your Pipeline involves
What you leave with
Your donor data reviewed, with recommendations for filling the gaps
A repeatable process and templates for adding and qualifying prospects
Your donors ranked by giving value, recency and postcode
A short pipeline plan: who to approach first, and the next step for each
Your donors scored for inclination and propensity, with our review of your scoring
A written report from the network mapping session
Who it is designed for
You have a database and the intent, but no prioritised list: the same names asked again and again, networks nobody has mapped, or so many records that nothing gets acted on. It is the natural first step if Who was the weakest area in your Major Donor Scorecard result.
Right for you if
Prospect research or wealth screening. We do not rate capacity for you; we show you how, and we say when paying for a screen would be the right call. Nor is it a case for support. If that is where you are stuck, we will say so on the first call.
What it is not
What we ask of you
Fundraising is a team effort, and we have the greatest success when our clients work with us. We will ask you to download your donors by gift size and postcode, to score them for inclination and propensity with our guidance, to arrange the network mapping session and invite the right people, and to join five calls. In all, around five days of your team's time across the twelve weeks.
Twelve weeks. A named consultant throughout.
Network mapping session on site; everything else remote. Travel to the session at cost.

No. The first thing we do is look at your data and tell you what is missing and how to fill it. Clients often find that the records they were embarrassed about were good enough to rank. You do not need a clean database to start; you need one you are willing to look at honestly.
-
No. We show your team how to judge capacity, inclination and propensity themselves, and we say plainly if a paid screen is the right next step for you. We do not sell screening, we do not take a commission on it, and plenty of pipelines are built without one
