The brief
Waverley Care was recruiting a trusts and grants fundraising role into the charity for the first time. Before it did, it wanted a review of its systems and processes, and support with prospect research and preparing applications.
What we did
We carried out a thorough audit and critical review of its trusts and grants fundraising. We interviewed staff from across the organisation and reviewed its systems, processes and past performance. Our report set out its strengths and weaknesses, with a detailed list of recommendations to strengthen the function.
Results
A comprehensive report and a detailed list of recommendations.
A Trusts and Grants Fundraiser appointed, and the charity's grant applications beginning to increase.
A more ambitious fundraising function, built by looking beyond its existing ways of working.
