Lake District Foundation: interim trust fundraising across a recruitment gap

Interim trust fundraising to cover a recruitment gap. Results recorded in October 2023.

The brief

The Lake District Foundation needed interim support for its trust fundraising while it recruited a new member of its small fundraising team.

The foundation has a wide remit and works with many organisations across the Lake District, but its team did not have the capacity to take on trust fundraising as well.

What we did

Our associate started shortly after the foundation's previous trust fundraiser had left. Working as its interim trust fundraiser, she set up a formal pipeline of previous, current and new potential funders, and every one of them was approached.

She prepared a case for support for the foundation's internal use, and applications and proposals to more than 40 funders, for the foundation's team to submit.

Results

£56,283 raised from the work by the time the results were recorded.

A pipeline of previous, current and new funders, and a case for support, left in place for the incoming trust fundraiser to build on.

"Money Tree Fundraising have been a great asset to LDF in the time we have worked with them. They quickly developed an extensive pipeline of projects and have submitted a high volume of applications."
